Watertown man dies in early morning crash after driving too fast, troopers say

Rodman, N.Y. — A Watertown man died in a crash early Monday morning in rural Jefferson County.
The crash was reported at about 2:20 a.m. on County Route 155 in the town of Rodman, according to Trooper Jennifer Jiron, a spokesperson for the State Police.
The man, Chase K. Obrien, 24, was driving south in a 2017 Nissan Sentra, Jiron said. The car was going at an “unsafe” speed, she said, and struck a utility pole.
